About Me

Danis Rose

I am a textuist by profession, a writer by nature, a cultural historian by degrees, and a constant gardener by necessity, with a (distant) background in mathematics. Together with John O'Hanlon, I have written Love & Curiosity–The Cosmos (Dublin: Ithys Press, 2011). The book, six years in the making, and the provocative ideas it presents, are the occasion for this blog.

My most recent previous work is the new edition of James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake (Houyhnhnm Press, 2010).

The co-author of Love & Curiosity, Dr. John O'Hanlon, is a physicist who specialises in relativity and quantum mechanics. His main interest at present is in exploring the relationship between knowledge (and especially scientific knowledge) and the real world.
